Personal Notefrog anime

My interest in reptiles began when I was young with the usual childhood fascination with dinosaurs and numerous encounters with lizards and snakes in the "wild outback" of Southern California. Throughout my years in school I occasionally kept a reptile or two mostly as a distraction from studying, but I never took the time to delve deeper into the field of herpetology. After suffering a rather nasty bite from an iguana during medical school, and momentarily falling for the ER doctors joke that there was a fatal human virus being spread through the city by iguanas, I took a break from keeping any reptiles.

However, within the last several years, through an interesting turn of events that brought me into contact with several reptile experts, my interest has been rekindled on a larger scale than I ever expected. Currently my collection represents several localities of Rosy Boas and Kingsnakes. I chose these species based on a few factors: easy care and breeding, beauty of color and patterns, smaller maximal growth, and influence by others who have made significant advances in the understanding of these animals. Most likely this will lead to more challenging endeavors, but for now I am satisfied with the learning curve that my collection offers.
